Please use the form below to let us know how you would like to contribute to the success of NGLA. We hope to find a meaningful role for every member who wishes to be involved. Submitting a complete and accurate form will assist us in matching your interests with the NGLA's needs. Preferred deadline is Friday, August 20, 2010. Appointments will be announced in mid-September.

NGLA Mission: The Northeast Greek Leadership Association exists to promote the founding principles and positive traditions of all Greek letter organizations through opportunities that encourage learning and leadership for the Northeast region.

Committee Descriptions

Assessment Committee—The assessment committee will work with the Board to determine the types of information that should be collected and help determine the best method for doing so. This year the committee will also assess whether the conference evaluation process should be revised. Committee members should enjoy working with data and have an interest in survey design.

Awards Committee – The awards committee is responsible for reviewing and judging the awards submitted in one or two designated categories, scoring the awards for a category on the score sheet and submitting the results to the committee chairs. This process will take place in early January.

Conference Educational Programming Committee-- The conference programming team is responsible for coordinating all educational programming for students and professionals during the annual conference. This may include conference keynotes, intentional group education experiences, and workshop presenter recruitment and selection.

Marketing – The marketing committee is responsible for coordinating the marketing outreach for NGLA. This may include drafting emails, phone contact and publications. Interactions and work with the IT committee is expected. The development of an overall marketing plan for the Association will be the first item of business once appointed.

On-site Hospitality – The on-site committee assists with all aspects of hospitality. They will engage students at evening entertainment activities including the game room activities. On-site volunteers will also identify local attractions, including restaurant options for Friday night. Volunteers may also assist by greeting and welcoming conference attendees and providing general directional information to event locations.

Technology Committee -- The IT committee will serve NGLA as a resource and sounding board on the implementation and development of technology used by the Association to continually become more efficient and better serve its members. Whether a "tech-greek" or not, members should have a basic knowledge and level of comfort with computer/internet programs, cell phone applications, social networking, or websites. Members of the committee should expect a commitment of a few hours per month, with a more focused effort in the fall semester in the lead up to the annual conference.

Year-Round Education Committee— The year-round education committee is charged with developing educational opportunities and/or resources for students outside of the annual conference. Committee members should possess creative ideas that reach students effectively, project management skills, and be a good collaborator.
